CEBS Mission Statement:
“The Centre for European Business Studies at SPJIMR is operated by ESB Business School in conjunction with SPJIMR. It’s aim is to strengthen and intensify existing academic links and exchange between our institutions in order to enhance the knowledge and understanding for Europe and the single market in India as well as to offer European students an inroad to a better understanding of India.”
The Centre of European Business Studies (CEBS) was established on 19.11.2009 in the presence of the former Prime Minister of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg Mr. Öttinger, numerous representatives of business as well as the deputy head of the EC delegation in India, Mr. Schoof.
The EU-funded CEBS is operated and directed by ESB Business School from Germany in conjunction with S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research in india.
Its location is on the campus of the S.P.Jain Institute in Mumbai, the business center of india.
The CEBS wants to span the range from Science to Business and addresses

- universities
- businesses
here and there.
It has four main pillars also forming the structure of this website. On the top here you can find 3 links (for now - soon there will be 5!) the first is providing general information about the CEBS and its backing institutions, the ESB Business School in Reutlingen and the SPJ Institute of Management and Research in Mumbai. Also other general website components can be found here. The remaining 2 (4) links stand for the 4 main pillars - each forming an own section of the website with an individual menu bar on the left.
The CEBS is the first Center for European Business in India. It also is the first center of its kind initially funded by the European Union.
