Post Graduate Certificate in International Management leading to MBA
SPJIMR, Mumbai and ESB Business School, Reutlingen University, Germany have collaborated to establish Centre for European Business Studies (CEBS), the only European Union (EU) funded Centre for European Business Studies in India. CEBS was inaugurated by the esteemed EU Energy Commissioner Günther Öttinger. It intends to enhance Indo-European understanding, academic exchange and business awareness. A full time MBA program in International Management (IM) is a step in this direction.
The program is structured into three terms.
Participants undergo the first 2 terms at SPJIMR. Each term comprises of 4 months. There would be a Diwali break of 2 weeks between the terms. Courses at SPJIMR are taught by SPJIMR faculty and various other renowned International faculties. On successful completion of these two terms, students are awarded "Post Graduate Certificate in International Management" from SPJIMR. The pedagogy followed at SPJIMR ensures that knowledge gained is translated into practice by means of extensive simulations and field work sessions. ESB Business School accepts the credits earned in SPJIMR towards successful completion of MBA in International Management, offered by them.
The third term of the program is at ESB Business School. It is a 6-month full time residential term comprising of electives chosen by participants. During their stay, participants also get a scope to interact with European Business establishments and build a strong practical foundation in European Business Environment. This process helps participants to leverage on their past experience, academic strengths, inputs provided in SPJIMR and ESB and emerge as better managers of tomorrow. They become better equipped to conduct extensive research to address issues faced by companies based in India and EU in areas such as Business Development, Market Feasibility Study, Market Entry Strategy etc. This research will lead to a Master's Thesis and awarding of MBA in International Management thereby transforming them into experts in Indo-EU Business
